This is an experimental illustration I created recently entirely in Adobe Illustrator. Usually I do most of my sketching/painting in Photoshop so for this piece I decided to challenge myself and create the concept in a program I don't use as much for illustration work. In terms of the actual composition, I had this idea to merge the qualities of metal and paint and decided on something visually appealing like a Rolex to execute the idea on.
"Drippy" - A Rolex Illustration
In October of 2016 I was contacted by up and coming RnB singer Brandon Tory to design his new album cover. Tory has been growing in popularity ever since he got co-signed by world acclaimed artist Timbaland in 2015. He wanted me to work some of the images of his latest photo shoot. The photographer sent over the images and we refined the selection down to the one that we felt was the strongest. From there I created about 20 different concepts for Brandon to choose from and the rest is history! This is by far one of my most notable projects. I definitely had a ton of fun working with Brandon and his creative team.
Minimalist Album Covers
These are just a few of the minimal illustrated covers I've been working on for various artists. More to come soon!
J Woods is an RnB singer based out of Toledo Ohio. He's been one of my oldest clients and for the past year or so I've tackled all of his design jobs including logo work for his record label and album covers.
For this twitter banner, I meshed three different images from Eric's new video into a vibrant collage. I really wanted to pull of a really dynamic / cartoonist look by increasing the saturation and adding brush strokes on the sharper features of the image.
These are a few digital paintings I've created over the years. Usually I will sketch out some concepts and then scan in the best one. From there I digitally paint and finalize the piece in Photoshop.
This gallery consists of a few pieces I've recently worked on for S351; a class centered around typography. Each piece was a for a different assignment, setting different constraints and requirements for me to push myself in my work!
Below is a logo created for Nectox, a gaming website centered around professional competitive gaming. They wanted something sharp and edgy so after some rough concepts I decided to go with a negative space based design.
I created this logo in 2016 for an authentic Italian old school espresso bar. They were looking for something with a blue/gold color scheme and a vintage style similar to that of a sign from 1950's diner. They also wanted me to include a panini in the design to showcase their lunch menu opposed to just a strict coffee shop.
Acme App Design
Below is the graphic design behind a mobile website created by Acme Entertainment. The brief stated that the app was like a new virtual Mall, similar to Amazon but a more gamified version. It was meant to be a more fun, interactive experience. The developers were very specific on what they wanted and gave me a detailed list on how many different pages they needed and what content to include on them. However when it came to the actual design work they kept it pretty open and allowed me some creative freedom to come up with the work below.
